Surplusses and Shortages on the European Job Market

Feb 24 2012 in General information, Info by Louise Bach-Nielsen

The European Vacancy monitor is a  comprehensive overview of recent developments on the European job market. Data on job vacancies and hiring shed light on trends in occupational demand and skills requirements.

The data is drawn from a wide range of sources: public employment services, temporary work agencies, online services, the EU statistics office (labour force survey, job vacancy statistics), national statistical offices and other relevant research.

However, it is advisable to check the information with a Eures-adviser (eures.europa.eu) as certain sectors or occupational fields will require knowledge of the national language, and may not have a tradition of hiring candidates from abroad.
